Message to Fetterman and McCormick - vote NO on Trump's budget

Contact your Senators and demand that they vote NO on Trump’s budget. The damage that will result from Trump’s disastrous budget will hurt everyone – Republicans and Democrats alike.

The Republican House passed Trump’s budget bill that cuts $13 billion in “discretionary spending” (social safety nets, veterans’ benefits, programs that benefit small farmers, and many others). Republicans gave almost all spending authority to Trump, giving DOGE almost limitless power of the purse.

What’s being cut? Veteran’s benefits and programs will be cut by $1 billion. Construction and renovation of health care facilities, mainly in poor rural areas, will be cut by $1 billion. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will lose $1.4 billion from project aimed at reducing the impacts of hurricanes and flooding. Agricultural support for family farms is on the chopping block.

It now goes to the Senate where Republicans are also ready to cede their constitutional powers to Trump. Senate Republicans can pass the bill without a single vote by Democrats in the Senate. But Senate Minority Leader Chuck Shumer has already caved.
